1950s Goebel bisque sparrows
Here is a sweet pair of white bisque sparrows – made by Goebel who make the popular Hummel figures. Goebel are a German manufacturer which was established in the 1870s and still produces today.
Believe these sparrows are probably from the 1950s – they were usually painted and fired so these are quite unusual. They have the model number on the base – CV72.
They measure 11cms from head to tail and are about 6cms high.
