Here we have a fabulous 1950s cake topper.
It consists of a detailed stork on one leg holding the tiny baby in a sling in it’s beak!
It has a pink bow on the sling and a pink flower at the base so seems it would be for a little baby girl as these things were made in those days (sorry not gender neutral).
We’ve all heard parents of kids who ask awkward questions about where they come from tell them “The stork brought you” so this would be a great keepsake for a child growing up!
It would be ideal for a baby shower or naming ceremony cake.
It’s in good vintage condition – still complete with no breakages – made from early hard plastic. Some minor discolouration on the base but not really very obvious.
Seen plenty of vintage wedding toppers (we are selling one on our site at the moment) but not seen many fabulous 1950s cake topper for a christening cake so think it’s quite rare – snap it up now!
It measures 11.5 cms in height and the base is 7cms. It’s really hard to show in a photo but the base reads Festival and Reg. Design.
